I just added
another Linksys LNE100TX
card to a new SunBlade 150. I installed the afe driver from :
http://garrett.damore.org/software/ethernet/download.shtml as discussed
on this forum a couple of years ago, and it didn't work. It turns out
the the Linksys
LNE100TX I got last
time used an ADMtek AN983
chip and the Linksys
LNE100TX I received
this time uses a LITE-ON LC82C169 chip, and requires a different driver. The
driver for the LITE-ON chip can be found at:
http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/ as tu-0.9.34.tar.gz . It must be compiled
for the sparc platform. The drivers work (I can see the network and
browse, ssh, etc.), but I haven't hooked it up to a console yet.
Just thought I should keep the archives current...
