Varian AP-bus interface board

We have an old (1989 vintage) VXR-S console which we really need to keep
going for a bit longer yet. Recently, we lost the 5v power supply to
the digital cardcage. We have replaced the 5V power supply, but now we
get a sum to memory error whenever the host computer requests data
acquisition (even if it's only for the lock signal). We have carefully
adjusted the supply voltage and checked it for ripple (absent). We have
also checked all the boards in the digital cage by swapping them with
the corresponding boards in out Unity-300, and they are all fine.

So we are now wondering about the AP bus. Disconnecting the AP-bus
either from the interface board, or from boards in the analogue rack
(transmitters, etc) makes no difference, so we are led to think that the
fault may lie in the AP-bus interface board itself. This is the red
board located on a hinged carrier behind the digital cardcage. We can't
check this by swapping with our Unity, because this board changed
significantly between the two (different connectors, at least).

Is there anyone out there nursing an old VXR-S console in their in their
stock of spares who would be willing to give / loan / sell us the AP-bus
interface board? The one we are looking for is assembly # 969616.

We had such a spare console ourselves until a couple of months ago when
we had to throw it away because the department was short of space. You
can guess how we feel about that now!
