More on latex tubing

I recently had a similar experience with latex tubing. Just like
Guillermo, mine had been in service for about 2-3 years, and failed in
the same manner, an end to end split. Given the price and convenience
of latex, I will continue to use it, but will probably replace it every
year or so, hopefully before failure. I have also witnessed the
explosive failure of vinyl (Tygon) tubing used for nitrogen transfer.
Plastic tubing should never be used for liquid nitrogen.
