Dear AMMRL,
We are considering siting a wide bore 600 in a basement lab directly
below a X-ray crystallography facility. The 5 G envelope will reach
about 1 meter above the floor in the X-ray lab. Does anyone have
experience regarding compatibility of these two instruments. Obviously,
the CRT's in the X-ray lab will be affected, but would there be any
other problems? The X-ray manufacturer doesn't know if the field will
have any affect on the X-ray instruments. We have had a 200 MHz
horizontal bore solids system in the lab previously and have not had any
problems.
If anyone has any experience in this regard we would appreciate hearing
from you.
