Position Open:
At the Fraunhofer Institute of Biomedical
Engineering (IBMT), Magnetic Resonance, we have a
position opened.
The ideal candidate has experiences with NMR
and/or MRI (either technical (HF, RF-Engineering),
or application of NMR-techniques to materials
science research and/ or life sciences.
The candidate will operate a 400 NMR machine ,
equipped with all kinds of NMR studies from
High-Resolution-, Solid-State-NMR, Microimaging,
and various MAS-techniques and various
state-of-the art computer systems (Sun Ultra 60,
SGI, SGI-NT). Furthermore, management of research
projects is required.
Knowledge in the one or more of the following
fields is of advantage:
Diffusion measurements, Micro-Imaging,
MAS-Spectroscopy, Biomolecules-NMR, Materials
Research with NMR and/or FT-IR, Polymer-Research,
Soft Matter, Bio-and Model-membranes, Management
of own research projects.
The contract will be for 2 + 3 years and can be
extended. The Magnetic Resonance Group has a
strong co-operation with the University of
Saarland and is involved in lecturing there. This
might be important for candidates, who look in
long terms for an University career.
Engineers, Physicists, Chemists, and Biochemists

The salary is primary BAT 2a, but is flexible,
depending on the candidates experiences.
