reservation time blocks

Our current reservation system allows users to reserve time in 20 min
blocks. I am considering lowering the blocks of time to 10 or 15 min
periods. I believe that there is a lot of void time with our current 20
min blocks. The schedule looks full but our percent usage (60%) for both
of the QE's (300 MHz) does not seem to reflect that. Our most common
experment is H-1 and I believe that most of the time the users don't even
plot it. Where it takes me a short time to run a sample not all users are
crearted equal. We do have off line software (Nuts) available so the users
don't have to plot their data at the console.

I would be interest in knowing what time blocks other facilities are using.
I would be willing to post the results

Thanks,

Chuck
