MSL upgrade

Hi!
=46irst of all, many thanks to everybody who supported me with my Aspect-PC
data transfer problem. I have received a tremendous amount of help and was
finally able to figure out what was wrong. There were 3 problems: the board
in the Aspect with the parallel port, the cable, and the IO address. For
some reason, NMRNet runs only with an IO address of 300 (previously I used
310 which was _not_ conflicting with the IO on my ethernet card).

To eliminate upcoming problems, I want to apply for funding for a Tecmag
upgrade. Paul Kanyha is on vacation right now, and there is NOBODY else at
Tecmag who is familiar with their product line (quite amazing!!). Anyway,
Paul supported me via email out of his holidays. I get the following
impression:

It is not possible to simply upgrade the Aspect3000 and interface, since
the MacSpect interface is not compatible with MSL consoles. Paul says my
cheapest option is to go with a 'low level' 2 Channel APOLLO console. I am
not quite sure what that means. Does anybody have any experiences with
upgrading an MSL, and could you share those with me? I am quite happy with
the hardware, only my particular Aspect seems to be a real lemon.
