Hi Jessica,

I have a few thoughts about your samplecase issues.

For issue 1 - The three attempts to insert the sample is standard behavior
and usually happens when the spinner gets stuck at the interface between
the shuttle that transports the sample and the top of the shim system.
If you're lucky, it might just be one (or a few) spinner that's having problems.
In that case it's an easy fix and you just take that spinner out of service.
If it's not the spinner, then frequently the sample changer has drifted out
of alignment with the top of the shim system. In that case you have to re-align
it, but that's not trivial and if you don't get it right, it can degrade the
performance of the sample changer further. I would start by pulling problematic
spinners out of service and see if that helps things.

For issue 2 - I've seen this one time and it was with a user who was using Jae-Young
tubes with dark colored valves on top. The sample would rise up into the sample
transport and the valve of the tube would be detected by the sample changer instead
of the spinner. So the system closed the latch that holds the sample up before
the spinner was in position. When it turned the air off, the sample dropped back
into the sample holder. I'd check to see if something is tripping the sensor that
detects the spinner in the top of the sample transporter prematurely.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers,
Mike
