Hi folks,
On our Agilent spectrometer, the capacitors on one probe keep getting stuck at the end of travel when we are indexing the protune. We change probes often, and so index often - the software seems to automatically trigger the indexing, even if we don't purposefully do it. We have the long cables that attach to the tuning capacitors from a 'motor box'.
We would like to disable the automatic indexing and just use the probe starting from the position the tuning capacitors are in when we change the probe - they are almost perfect when we put the probe in, and we see no reason to stress the system (and sometimes get the capacitors irrevocably stuck) when we are changing probes. We want to be able to use the protune in automation.
Does anyone know how to disable the automatic indexing in protune? In addition, is there a file we can edit to make sure automation recognizes the 'well tumed' position as the correct starting point?
