Hello AMMRL-ers,
We use two techniques to remotely monitor our
spectrometers. The one technique allows
almost real-time remote control of a
spectrometer while the second supplies still
images taken every few minutes to either a
web-site or to the user's mobile phone.
As an administrator it is nice to be able to
observe or even intervene when a user has a
problem and I am not close to the
Spectrometer. The users like to be able to
monitor their long experiments from their lab or
from home and be able to know when their
presence is required to prevent a a
malfunctioning experiment wasting their and
the instrument's time.
If you want more detail on how we do this
remote surveillance please feel free to contact
