NMR Facility Manager (Specialist/Researcher II)
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (
http://cheminfo.ou.edu/) at the
University of Oklahoma is seeking a Manager for the Departmental NMR Facility.
The Facility Manager will oversee operations of the NMR Research Suppport
Service laboratory (maintain and operate instrumentation, data stations,
computers, etc.), provide training for users and staff, provide service
to departmental research groups, maintain accurate records of samples run
and related billing expenses. The Facility Manager will participate in
preparation of proposals for new NMR equipment or upgrades of existing
equipment, provide assistance in support of proposals by other faculty and
staff, and maintain and provide users with knowledge of recent advances in
NMR spectroscopy. Equipment includes Varian Mercury VX 300Mhz, Unity/Inova
400 MHz, and VXR 500 MHz NMR's. Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related
