If you refer to the MAC address of the ethernet card, use
/usr/etc/netstat -ia
This gives details regarding the various ethernet interfaces
configured on your system. Those belonging to "real" ethernet
cards will give the MAC address for that card e.g.
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Coll
ec0 1500 147.188.60 bionmr2 889832384 38144 863602117 0
ALL-SYSTEMS.MCAST.
RIP2-ROUTERS.MCAST.

ALL-SYSTEMS.MCAST.
- here interface ec0 is a "real" card the MAC is
