Assistant Manager, Biomolecular NMR Facility
The Scripps Research Institute 10550 North Torrey Pines Rd. La Jolla, CA 92037
The Biomolecular NMR Facility of the Scripps Research Institute has an immediate opening for an Assistant NMR Facilities Manager. The successful applicant will be involved in every aspect of the daily operations of the Facility. Responsibilities will include maintenance of 7 modern spectrometers at or above 500 MHz, including hardware trouble-shooting, cryogen fills, etc.; implementation of new pulse sequences; training and assisting users in a wide range of multi-dimensional NMR experiments; administration of Unix workstations and software. The successful applicant will be encouraged to participate in the development of new NMR and computational methods.
We are looking for a Ph.D. graduate with a minimum of two years postdoctoral experience in modern NMR. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of spectrometer hardware and pulse sequence implementation, plus experience in the computational aspects of NMR data analysis and structure determination of biomolecules.
