dear managers
I think our 360L probe is shot. A tube was broken in it containing some
junk that dissolves in chloroform and not much else. The probe was cleaned
extensively with solvents. After 5 trys the probe did not tune down to 10
on the meter anymore but goes to midscale 50 or so. Needless to say no
spectrum can be obtained. I think the coil got
messed up. it reads continuous but maybe shorted or missaligned. Does any
one have an extra probe we can borrow to confirm this diagnosis, or know
where one can be purchased. Varian no longer repairs these probes.
