AMMRL: BACS arm not going down

Hi,

We have an old BACS 60 unit on our AVIII and about 2 months ago the arm stopped going down. We tried replacing the vertical arm, replacing the cables, even switching to new electronics with no success. We then unplugged all the air cables to try to figure out what was the culprit. It turned out that the air supply cable 5, responsible for the upward movement is always on! As soon as disconnected, the arm could come down when asked.

We thought it might be an easy fix, perhaps the electronic controlling the pressure relief valve was down or the valve itself (see pictures). But we haven’t heard anything yet from Bruker. Does any pf you had similar problem and how did you fix it?

We thought that we could perhaps switch the black component (picture) controlling cable 5 with the one for cable 0 (not in use as far as we can see) but we’re not sure how to remove it.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Celine
