We are planning to have Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) electrical certification performed on some of our NMR instruments. These instruments are not new but require electrical certification due to on-site moves.
Has anyone had NMR instruments certified long after installation? We would love to hear experiences from other labs, especially regarding the requirement to provide electrical schematics, whether you were required to run a sample during the testing or just have the instrument powered on, if any disassembly was required to access interior parts of the console, if there is the potential for any damage to the instruments, and any other relevant information or advice.
