We have an AvanceIII 400 system we recently upgraded from TS2.1 to TS3.5.
It has not been a smooth process partly complicated by the fact that this
is a diffusion system with many interchangeable probe configurations
(different coils, gradients, etc in one probe).
Our latest issue is the cortab table which is preventing a number of
experiments where it isn't filled out. Some examples...
1) 1H is only set up via SGU 2 but is cabled to run through either SGU1 or
2.
2) Most x-nuclei are in the cortab for both SGU1 and 2 but only via the
1000W amp. SGU1 is going to the 300W amp and SGU3 is 1000W. When using
liquids probes, we need the 300W amp.
3) We look at some nuclei that are not present at all in the cortab files.
Brukers response was apparently this is all measured in the factory.
They'll come out and do it for a price (probably a big one) or you can do
it yourself if you have the equipment (Power meter/variable
attenuator/etc).
Maybe this isn't an issue on standard high resolution systems perhaps, but
it seems strange for something like this to be required as part of a
software upgrade? Anyone have some knowledge about this?
Thanks!
