We are receiving a donation of a Varian Mercury-Plus 400 that was installed in 2002. The company can't find the shipping restraints. They do have the charging rod (but not the shorting plug removal tool). If anyone could loan us these parts it would be GREATLY appreciated. We will pay for shipping both ways. The shipping restraints are shown on page C-7 of the magnet manual (page C-1) and consist of 3 sets: each set has a transit rod with 13 mm hexagonal end, a handle, and a clamp which bolts to the OVC baseplate.
We were planning to drive a truck to Sunnyvale, CA on Sunday (yes, Sunday Jan. 22), but without the restraints we will have to delay or cancel the trip.
The magnet is an actively-shielded narrow-bore 400 MHz Oxford (AS400/54).
