Dear all,

During the holidays, the manostat(?) on our Inova stopped working. This
device takes the helium boil off as input and output the boil-off to the
helium boil-off meter on the magnet leg. The front LCD kept flashing
very fast rather than displaying the pressures, and I can hear fast
clicking sound inside this device which seems to be synchronized with
the LCD flashing. The helium boil-off meter on the magnet leg kept open
and close, presumingly there is a valve in the manostat kept repetitive
opening and closing. This device is made by Bronkhorst HIGH-TECH, with
Serial Number 99206487S, and Type E-7100-AAA.

I am contacting Varian, but if anyone has seen such problems, I would
like to know what the cause might be and whether there is any easy way
to fix. I have not opened the box yet, but I assume it is a solenoid
valve or a pressure sensor that might go bad.

Thanks and you have a have a happy new year.

Regards,

Wei Li
