Has anyone using Varian's VNMRJ with multiple instruments, set up a
centralized database server? Varian uses the open source PostgreSQL
Database Management System in VNMRJ to host the J user database and
locator information. VNMRJ has the ability to access a non-localized
SQL database running on another machine. My question comes in how to
populate this database on a server not running VNMRJ or tying directly
into a centralized authentication database. Adding 100+ users to 9
different instruments, plus datastations, is not something I want to do.
I would appreciate your insight.
