conversion of HPGL format files to EXCEL or other formats

Hi All,

      We have a HP 7550 plotter attached to our old JEOL
NMR instrument. The spectral data being sent to this
plotter is in HPGL format. Can any one out there
have any experience in converting these vector
format files to other formats so that this could be
imported to EXCEL/ORIGIN or other ASCII formats? My
aim is to convert the spectral data to electronic
form for publication.
