Hi,
thank you very much for all helpful responses concerning my Delta-question.
Many thanks to Doug - Eastman Lowman, william Wheeler, Ivan Keresztes
and especially the developers/Jeol coworkers Ashok Krishnaswami and
Michael Frey.
The summarized informations might be helpful for other beginners.
1.Licensing
Running an Linux opertaing system a global license key is stored as
/usr/delta/global/.delta_product_key
The local key becomes installed as
~/.delta_product_key
Using
File -> Installation -> License key
in principal you have the choice to install a global key.
This doesn't work, if root already installed any personal key.
To install the global key, you have to remove the personal
key of root (if any). Do as root
cd
rm .delta_product_key
and install the global key using the way mentioned above.
Actually I didn't look for the storage of the license key using
the Windows operating system.
2. UNC
Actually there is no way to avoid the assignment of a drive
letter using the Windows release.
3. Processing of Bruker data
As a first step left shift the FID by 72 (sometimes 71)
points
PreTransform -> Shift
Additionally there is a simple way to reference Bruker spectra.
Start the file information viewer
choose the finger
take the information from the actual FID
choose Class:All
look for the value X_offset
Display -> Reference -> Reference
insert the value of X_offset in Hz
This corresponds to the situation with SR=0 using
XWIN-NMR or TopSpin.
Actually I am running the program using a Windows
terminal server and accessing this by a DSL line (about
T1 speed). There was neither an installation nor a
performance problem using this solution.
Best regards
Rainer
