Subject: 300 MHz NMR available

The University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy, is looking for a new
home for an older, but very reliable, GE QE-300. (It has been recently
replaced by a new 500 MHz.) The magnet has been stable, never needing
servicing, since it was originally installed in 1987. This instrument
is an original "CHARMM" magnet and was upgraded to the TecMag Aquerius
console (MacNMR 5.5) in 1994. It is a broad-band probe instrument, with
both 5 mm and 10 mm probes available. The VT control works, and a few
spare boards are availabe. At this time, the magnet is still energized,
but it has recently had trouble with probe tuning. Original schematics
are available.

The instrument is available to Universities or small colleges for the
price of de-energizing and shipment.
We would prefer to keep the instrument together as a functioning unit,
but will consider breaking it up for spare parts, if necessary.
