ultraSparc 5 and 10/Solaris 9, vnmr accounting woes

Colleagues:
    Thanks for your input! I believe my problem is a due to a hacker
intrusion which, though not malicious, nevertheless foobar the last
command enough to give me problems. So I have purchased Solaris 9 and
will reload OS and VNMR 6.1C on my systems. One question: Has anyone
simply installed OS and VNMR just using a big root (/) and export/home
partitions?
