Thank you to everyone who responded to my pulse sequence assistance request,
I have included a summary of the responses I received.

One of the members recommended the 200 and More NMR Experiments: A Practical
Course (ISBN 3527310673) by Stefan Berger and Siegmar Braun. He said that it
is more aimed at a Bruker system but would at least expose me to the
terminology and the basic how-to's.

Some suggested the Varian User Programming guide is the way to go, other's
have suggested I take a course in C before trying to do the pulse sequences
and still others have recommended that I go in and study the pulse sequences
on the system and try altering those.

I did get an interesting web site
<http://www.chem.wisc.edu/~cic/nmr/Guides/VUG/UnixVNMR.pdf>
http://www.chem.wisc.edu/~cic/nmr/Guides/VUG/UnixVNMR.pdf If you go to the
end of the document, Charles Fry has written a brief amount about pulse
sequences.

This web site was sent to me. It is an on-line course, but I haven't had
time to examine it yet. <http://www-keeler.ch.cam.ac.uk/lectures/>

Again, thank you to everyone for your help, it looks like I have an
interesting year ahead of me!!!!

Thanks,
Adrienne
