A warning to all AMMRL members to make sure your websites are copyrighted
and otherwise protected.

This week, I received an email bulletin on magnet safety from an equipment
company, and I thought it sounded very familiar. Well, it should have
because I had written it. It appears that the email text was lifted
verbatim from my safety handout that is posted on my website. The email
gives no reference or link to my web page.

I had posted this safety information so that it would be available to the
students and a reference to others in the NMR community. However, it makes
me angry that my words were used for profit without my permission. I will
be changing my website to try to keep this type of commercial use from
happening again.

In case you are interested, the link to my safety information page is
userpages.umbc.edu/~mabry/safety.htm

Sincerely,
Stephanie Mabry
