Spectroscopy, Scientist/Sr. Scientist Position

Dear Ammrl Spinsters!

We have an opening at Avery Dennison's Research Center located within the
Los Angeles, CA area. The successful candidate will be a member of a
highly creative and multidiscipline team. He/she needs to have a strong
background in Spectroscopy (both IR and NMR) with good interpretative
skills in polymers. The Research Center currently has a number of FTIR
spectrometers (Nicolet, Bio-Rad, Bruker) with accessories like ATR,
microscope, photo-acoustic, step-scan, low-angle grazing capabilities, and
etc. A portion of the successful candidate's responsibility would also
include conducting NMR studies (using an INOVA 400 MHz system equipped
with an auto-sampler, solids & liquid accessories). The successful
candidate will work closely with Research Center scientists and divisional
scientists to provide technical support using spectroscopic techniques for
R & D support, and solving problems related to research, new productdevelopment, manufacturing and customer complaints.

The candidate should have a Ph. D. or equivalent in Chemistry, Materials
Science or related discipline with 2-10 years related industrial
experience with proven track record in applied spectroscopy. If you or
