Dear All.
Sorry for potential cross-posting. First I sent this message to the
BUM mail server but I'm not sure I used the correct address. I
decided to re-sent to AMMRL. Here is my message:
Dear Bruker users,
We use an old AC-300 with Aspect-3000 (DISR91 software). Recently,
the computer have been experiencing frequent crashes. Usually it
happens 10-20 times a day (sometimes more often). These crashes are
pretty unusual. The screen freezes or gets blank and it doesn't
respond to the keyboard . However the Ctrl/Q combination usually
revives the monitor and re-activates the keyboard. If the freeze
happens during acquisitions, the computer continues to acquire the
data, and after the Ctrl/Q the screen returns to life and shows a
new current number of scans (the data look fine as if nothing
happened). The voltages in the computer look fine, although the
freezing events are so infrequent that I am not able to monitor the
voltages at the very moments of freezing.
I would appreciate if you shared with me your ideas about possible
sources of the problem.
Thank you.
Alex
