We recently upgraded our QE to a QE+. This involved hardware and
software. I am pleased to say almost everything went without a
hitch. There is a slight software bug that is a real pain. If you reboot
the system the CHARM software gets stuck at the User name. The only
response is a "~" from the keyboard. If I repeat the reboot process it
eventually completes and CHARM starts. This is CHARM ver# 13.11 on 3.5"
floppy for a QE+. The system works well and the spectra are great there is
just this one little quirk. If anyone knows the fix for this or someone I
can call who does that would work also.
