Hopefully someone has already solved this problem.
Our Varian instrument has VNMR 6.1B software. In the VNMR_accounting tool,
you hit the button 'update and save' to save the console log information in
a file under the /var/adm directory and the information in the
vnmr_accounting window is rezeroed.
My problem is how do I view this saved information if I need to look at old
console log data. There does not seem to be anywhere within the accounting
tool where you can select an alternate file to view. I have tried
unsuccessfully to use a text editor but the file just looks like garbage.
What application do I need to view these type of files?
