SGI network broadcast

Colleagues
I hope someone out there can provide an answer to the following problem.

For several years we have been using Exodus with our Macintosh computers as
our X windows application to process NMR data on our SGI o2 computers.
This would work by simply launching Exodus and the Unix hosts on the local
subnet would show up in a window. Double click on the SGI o2 and get a
login window. A few weeks ago I put our SGIs behind a firewall. Afterward
the SGI hosts did not appear (and thus were not available) in the hosts
window. I removed the SGI o2s from the firewall temporarily, but the
problem remained. I don't really know that the firewall caused the
problem; seems unlikely. I have talked to our Computer Support Department
and they have no suggestion of cause for the change or a fix. Our SUN
computers still appear as available hosts for Exodus.

Can any of you suggest a cause and a possible remedy to this problem? We
need to access the o2s via Exodus and keep the firewall.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
