Department of Chemistry NMR Facility Manager Position

The Department of Chemistry of the University of Cincinnati encourages 
qualified individuals to apply for the position of NMR Facility Manager. 
The NMR facility presently consists of the following Bruker NMR 
spectrometers: AC-250, AMX-400 (widebore), Avance-400 and DMX-500. The 
main responsibilities of the facility manager include but are not 
limited to the technical and administrative supervision of these 
instruments, the maintenance and upgrade of equipment, the training of 
students, faculty and research assistants, as well as, participation in 
the writing and preparation of instrumentation grants. Participation in 
the preparation of publications is also anticipated via collaborative 
research with members of the Chemistry Department.  Preferred 
qualifications for this position are a Ph.D. with background in 
Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline, experience with the 
application of multi-dimensional solution NMR techniques and UNIX. 
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
