Dear John,

I would like to apologize to you for coming down a bit hard on you.
I misread your orginial mail a bit and got defensive.

I have gotten many messages that suggest that Bruker should take a more
proactive
role in fixing up the security holes in the original SGI configuration. I will
bring this up with our final test and installation engineers and check if we can
at least
put *'s in all the places where there are no passwords.

One additional note. Our spectrometer diagnostic software NMRCHECK executes a
check for unprotected accounts at startup. It will tell you which accounts are
unsafe.

Regards

Clemens
