We are in the fortunate position of having just placed an order for a 600
MHz system, a 500 MHz console, and a 7T imaging console - all from Bruker.
We intend to place them on uninterruptable power supplies to protect the
equipment and our data from voltage surges and power outages. The consoles
run off 220V single phase and need about 3.5 KVA for the spectroscopy
consoles and somewhat more for the imaging console. Thus we are asking for
recommendations as to UPS vendors to use or avoid. Comments regarding
reliability, ease of setup and maintenance (battery replacement in
particular), and how well the software for automatic shut down and start-up
is written will be especially appreciated. I will post an anonymous
summary.
Thanks!
