I am writing this posting in hopes of getting some information on the
supercon shimming of 1984 era 270 Mhz Bruker Magnet. Using a E 70 power
supply we had no problem bringing the magnet up to field. We could not
however get any shim current from the power supply. We managed to secure a
second power supply ( first one was a Nalorac unit the second an identical
Nicolet unit) neither one supplies any shim current. Since we have no
manuals on these units it is a bit difficult to figure what might be
happening. I do have a few questions that some of you old timers might
know the anwsers to.
A. On what pins to the Magnet/PS are the shim currents presented.
B. If any of you have an old E70 manual (with built in auxilary shim
p.s.) a copy of the critical pages would be very much appreciated.

Thank You very much for any information that might shed
some light on this problem .
