Dear AMMRLers,

The final agenda is in place (attached here) for the IVAN workshop meeting,
which will take place on Saturday March 7th before the ENC in Baltimore.

As I mentioned last week, the highlight of the meeting this year will be two
invited mini-workshops. Dr. Sitarma Bhavarju, of U.S. Pharmacopeia of Rockville
Maryland will lead a morning workshop on qNMR. Professor Emmanuel Hatzakis
of Ohio State University will lead an afternoon workshop about NMR Metabolomics.
Both of our leaders are noted researchers and NMR educators in their areas and we
thank them for sharing with IVAN.

We will also have some talks about Software. Frank Delaglio will give an update
about NMRPipe. Krish Krishnamurthy will speak about CRAFT and Dan Iverson will
talk about the new OpenVnmrJ 2.1.

This year we start at 8:30 AM with coffee and registration. As always, there will
be a catered buffet lunch and we conclude with a reception at about 4:00 PM. The
meeting is located in the Carroll A/B Suite on the third floor of the conference hotel,
the Inner-Harbor Baltimore Hilton.

It is important for AMMRLers to know that IVAN and our workshop meetings are
now open to all NMR users of any vendor’s instruments, not just Varian and Agilent.
I hope that AMMRL members will feel a personal invitation to attend and socialize
at this and all future IVAN meetings. Registration information is in the attached
flyer.

See you at the ENC!

Subject: All AMMRL members are welcome to this year's IVAN NMR Workshops on March 7th before the ENC in Baltimore

Dear AMMRLers,

This year all AMMRL members are invited to the meeting of IVAN on Saturday
March 7th before the ENC in Baltimore.

This year’s meeting incorporates two major changes!

The highlight of the meeting this year will be two invited mini-workshops,
one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, about 2 hours each. The
morning topic will be Quantitative NMR, led by Dr. Dr. Sitarma Bhavarju, of
U.S. Pharmacopeia of Rockville Maryland. Our afternoon topic will be about
NMR Metabolomics, given by Professor Emmanuel Hatzakis of Ohio State
University. Both of our leaders are noted researchers and NMR educators in
their areas. Dr Bhavarju has been a contributor to the qNMR Summit. Professor
Hatzakis does NMR research in food science and is a co-organizer of an NMR
tutorial course.

These should be great workshops and we thank our two leaders for sharing with IVAN.

The second change is that - as of this year- IVAN membership and the IVAN
meetings are officially open to all interested NMR users of any vendors’ instruments,
not just Varian/Agilent. This change reflects the fact that the strengths of our past
meetings have been mostly of tutorial interest and of interest to all. We make
that official this year and for future meetings.

There will also be a few talks. Dan Iverson will speak about OpenVnmrJ 2.0 and
Krish will speak about CRAFT. Frank Delaglio with speak about NMRPipe and we can
have some discussion about NMRbox.

I hope that AMMRL members will feel a personal invitation to attend and socialize
at this and all future IVAN meetings. Registration info is in the attached announcement.

See you at the ENC!

Dave
