I imagine many in the NMR community also have experience with EPR's and
possibly moving them around. I'm not familiar with EPR so I have some
questions regarding moving this instrument. I know they are not cryocooled
magnets so I would imagine they are easier to move. We would be moving
this from a sister medical campus to our Chemistry Department. About 50
miles.
The EPR is a Bruker ER073 EMX Spectrophotometer with a Bruker N2
Temperature Controller with the EMX High Sensitivity Probehead.
1) What is the official Bruker stance on moving this instrument? Does it
require a Bruker server engineer to take it down, package it up and then
set it up?
2) What is the 'unofficial' answer? Can we take it down, package it up
and just get Bruker to set it up once it's on site?
3) What are the site specs for the system? Can we put it in a room with a
bunch of NMR's? How far away?
Thank you for any information you can provide.
