Hi,
Many thanks for the replies from ammrl members. I am waiting for the next black screen to use these solutions to fix it. The ctrl+alt+ backspace method will be tried first. After I try it, I will update how it works.
The black screen occasionally appears after logout, but not after resuming from sleep status. Additionally, the phenomena happen in different workstations. These workstations are relatively new. I thought it might be the software problem (display software) of the Red Hat Linux.

Hi Guoxing,

this is certainly not a fix to your problem, but maybe an easier workaround to rebooting the workstation: If you hit „Ctrl - Alt - Backspace“ together it will restart the X windows server and should normally lead to the login screen. No reboot required.

Our VNMRJ 3.2 is operated in Red Hat 6.4 or 6.5. We have encountered the following problem. Sometimes after we logout, we cannot get back to the login screen. The screen displays some message and is frozen. We had to restart the workstation.

Do you have any idea how to fix this problem?
