Hi all,

We will soon retire our older Oxford 500 MHz magnet. Before we break vacuum and quench the magnet, I'm wondering if there would be anyone interested in taking it to a new home. The system has been at field from 1983. We have replaced the system with a new AVIII 600 MHz. It is currently housed in a location which we will not be able to retain (either via building demolition or university re-planning). Due to its large 5G footprint we decided not to relocate this magnet to a newer facility.

Please contact me if your institution has interest in acquiring this magnet. You would be responsible for re-location costs (rigging, cryogens, shipping, etc.). The DRX console is not available, we are keeping it for spare parts for our other D*X systems.

Cheers,
Tanya
