Greetings to spinland,
As we continue to exorcise XP from our intranet . . . I have a DPX200
limited to Topspin 1.3 (AQX/AQR rack etc.).
My CCU09 ECL is 55, which is the minimum to run with Linux (yay -
we're lucky enough to have the appropriate hardware for this option!)
- so I'll probably go that direction.
BUT - Has anyone gotten TS 1.3 to run with Vista?
"Bruker BioSpin has not tested TopSpin 1.3 with Windows Vista and
therefore we do not support this combination."
I got as far as diskless, flexlm, and updates all installed.
The error message I get with TS1.3 is:
"A service providing data for display and processing is not available."
"The address stated below does not conform to protocol standards:
URL= (Original message = `CORBA_ILLEGAL_PROTOCOL`URL=)"
etcetera.
I do have telnet installed on vista. All the services listed in the
instruction manual are running.
Any success stories and ideas would be most appreciated!
As a side note, the ONLY reason not to put in Linux is for consistency
across the spectrometers . . . the other two Avance I's don't have the
CCU/10 ECL compatible for Linux and so they're already running Vista.
Cheers!
Yael
