AMMRL: Topspin plot command problem with VNC

AMMRLers,
I am trying to run the Topspin 3.0 on our processing datastation (Linux Fedora) remotely
through a VNC connection. Everything is working fine except each time I type plot to call the
plot editor the command just dies without error message. If I click on the plot tab I am getting
a plot preview, but if I then click on the "Open Plot editor and modify layout" icon, I get the
error message: CPR task 6 resumed with error, additional information is: Executable
process is dead/killed".
This only happens when I am starting a session remotely through a vncviewer connecting to
display :1 (starting new vncserver through xinetd). This problem does not occur when
working locally on the datastation (display :0), or connecting remotely to a session running on
screen :0, nor when running topspin remotely through ssh X11 forwarding.
Does anybody have seen similar behaviour or an idea where the problem could be ? Yes I
could just use X11 forwarding for remote display, but I can serve a java vncviewer through
my webpage, which makes access much easier for the average user as they don't have to
install any software like X-server, ssh etc.

Thanks a lot

Holger Foersterling
