AMMRL: Inova lock and shim problem

Dear colleagues,

The problem concerns a 28 shim 500 Inova, vintage 1995.

Yestarday there was a major shift of the lock solvent offset, almost 10,000
DAC units. The magnet can be locked but cannot be shimmed. Shims are
somewhat responsive, perhaps some less than others, but the final lineshape
is terrible.

Resetting the shim power supply or the console or the workstation did not
help. The RT shim ribbon cable is properly connected. I did not see any
metal objects stuck on the magnet. There has been no probe change.

At the shim power supply, right end, there is a CPU SW2 table for different
shim systems. The 28 shim one is described as ON OFF ON ON. I am not sure
what does this refer to. Below the table, at the very right end of the unit
( Z0/Z1 driver board?) there is a column of 9 or so orange LEDs. Only one is
ON. Just below there are two red push buttons. I don't know what they are,
some reset perhaps?

Thank you in advance for any suggestion or advice. I will summarize.
