AMMRL: Varian automation and accounting

If any of you are using VnmrJ 2.2D on older consoles (Inova or Mercury),
and are successfully using the accounting based on acquisition times, I
would appreciate hearing from you. I have seen this work just fine at
Varian with a VNMRS console, but I have not been able to get anything
logged in the file /vnmr/adm/accounting/gorecords.xml on my Inova and
Mercury systems.

Also, I am interested in hearing about anyone who has experienced issues
where the queue software seems to be unable to calculate how much time an
experiment is going to take, e.g. as the end of the day queue time
approaches, adding more experiments to the day queue is grayed out even
though there is adequate time left, or the night queue fails to start
until much later than expected. We have had problems with an Inova
instrument but not the Mercury instrument. The systems have nominally
identical software, but differ both in hardware and the all important wild
card, who uses them and what for. I have a feeling that the quirks might
all roll up if the instrument were run in continuous queue mode, but there
is considerable pushback from the users on switching over. Anyway, if
anyone has seen and resolved such issues, please drop me a line.
