Helium Boil-off Rates

Dear AMMRL users:

We installed a Varian INOVA 500 about 6 months ago and the helium
boil-off rate is faster than we expected. The Oxford magnet is actively
shielded, holds 130 L helium, is in a room at 70F and about 1,500 ft
above sea level in N. California. The flow meter shows a rate of about
23 cc/hr, the level meter is dropping from 100% to about 36% in about 90
days, which is when we are currently doing fills. I would be grateful
to hear of your "real-world" experiences of boil-off rates and fill
intervals to know if our helium consumption is "normal".

many thanks,
