Job Description:

This position will be part of a group providing support to synthetic
chemists in the following areas. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Provide easy-to-use
yet hard-to-break open access NMR tools. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Educate
users in support of NMR automation tools. Develop novel automation tools to
further increase productivity. Help to provide timely structural elucidation
service to medicinal chemistry.

Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: BS/MS in chemistry or the equivalent. WORK
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Knowledge of organic chemistry, analytical chemistry
and Unix administration. Theoretical and practical background in high
resolution NMR. Understanding of instrumentation, skill to trouble-shoot and
calibrate NMR spectrometer. OTHER DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS: Willingness to
serve synthetic chemists with all comfort levels in using automated NMR.
Strong learning orientation and ability to apply new knowledge to enhance
daily work. Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
