Hello Everyone,
I have a Bruker MSL 300 running DISMSL software and need to reload my software. Unfortuneately, my 8 inch floppies (yes, 8 inch) have corrupted portions. I am going to get another set of floppies from Bruker ( if they are available) and reload. I have been told by multiple sources that these floppies don't last over time even under ideal storage conditions. So, I was wondering if anyone has determined a way to back-up the software on another media easily? I was thinking that I might be able to use the NMRnet data transfer system I have installed that transfers data to a PC. Has anyone tried anything like this and failed or been successful. Has anyone backed these floppies up and reloaded successfully any other way? I am nervous about future availability of the software for this instrument and the fact that I already had to have an 8 inch floppy drive and power supply replaced ( not an easy find).
Any shared experiences would be appreciated.
Susan Crawford
