In the course of trying to save the job of my only part-time assistant, I
wrote the web page on "Assessing risks of superconductive magnet quenches"
and Rolf Kyburz was kind enough to take note of it in the Varian NMR News.
I am supplementing this with a page of facility maintenance procedures
which includes pictures and procedures for cryogen fills. It occurs to me
that some of you may want to clone some of what I've written. I'm betting
you will have additions, corrections, and suggestions for doing some things
better. You're invited to visit the page at
http://opie.nmr.siu.edu and
have at it.
I've made my reservations for ENC and look forward to seeing all of you.
Positive reinforcement can be hard to come by in our profession, but a week
with my AMMRL colleagues never fails to pick me up and make me appreciate
anew that I am part of a superb professional group.
