We are in the process of installing a new 600 and upgraded 500, and had
planned to dedicate a UPS to each instrument. Both Bruker and Varian seem
to like Liebert UPStations, but through the oft-unpredictable process of
taking bids, we have been offered an MGE (formerly d.b.a. Square D
and Topaz) Pulsar EXL unit for considerably less than the Liebert (or I
should say the lowest bid for the Liebert--the range was substantial).
Does anybody have any experience with these units? On request, I'll pass
