We are looking for strong candidates to fill a senior technical staff
position in NMR Spectroscopy in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This position
is in the Discovery Analytical Chemistry group, part of Wyeth Research,
and will involve structural characterization of compounds being
synthesized in our effort to improve the lives of those suffering from
arthritis, asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the application
of NMR to the study of small organic molecules (10+ years in the
pharmaceutical or chemical industries, or equivalent academic
experience). This is a high-level, non Ph.D. position, best suited for
strongly motivated, independent individuals who work best in small to
medium-sized research groups. Experience with the application of
standard 1D and 2D NMR methods to chemical problem solving is required,
as is familiarity with modern NMR spectrometers (the lab has 4 Bruker
Avance/AV-series spectrometers, so experience with Bruker instruments is
a definite plus).
