I am wondering if anyone else has seen this problem. After a one week
hiatus from the NMR system (INOVA-400), I had unaccepably low
signal-to-noise (unacceptibly low being <2 S/N). My first thought was the
probe had been damaged. When I tried to tune, I was unable to tune either
channel of the dual probe. When using qtune, the screen display was a
series of evenly spaced "roaming" dips surrounding the "true" dip from
power reflection. The display was the same for the decoupler channel and
the broadband channel. It was also the same on our CP/MAS probe.
I am not sure the above desciption accurately descibes the problem, but if
anyone has seen something similar, I would appreciate any insight they
could provide. I am sure a service call will be required, the request is
more for my own curiosity.
Thanks.
Jerry
